I am Dr Owen Davies a Reader in Social History at the University of Hertfordshire.

I did a degree in history and archaeology at Cardiff University, and then went on to do a PhD at Lancaster University on witchcraft and magic in England and Wales from the eighteenth to the twentieth century. Over the last twelve years I have been writing, publishing and lecturing.

I would be happy to hear from anyone with an academic interest in the subject of witchcraft and magic history in the modern period.
